Kent possesses all the good traits which make a man noble. Self-sacrifice, loyalty, faithfulness and goodness are developed to a high degree in his character.
Kent is a man that is very loyal to his King and his friends. He puts himself through many different roles in society to help his King. He also is allowed to see through the eyes of a common man what their lives are like. King Lear would not have been able to live as long as he did if he did not have Kent's help.
Kent is loyal from beginning until the end. He was a nobleman who was loyal to King Lear, even after Lear banishes him. He disguises himself as a peasant in order to keep helping King Lear after he banishes him. Kent changes during the play when he lives life as a poor person because instead of being a nobleman, he literally gets to walk a mile in someone else's shoes and learn what it's like to be a commoner.
He was very loyal to the king, which makes him reliable and trust worthy. The only forseable change he makes is his additude about the common people. It seemed that at first he didn't give any second thought about the lower class, yet when he was forced to become one to stay by Lear's side he started to feel differently about them, almost respecting them.
Kent is a likeable character. He is likeable in all the traits that you expect to find from a noble servant of the king and of a friend of friends. Kent reminds me a bit of what many modern superheros are based upon.
